Obedient to Truth

Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta
"Don't give in to discouragement. If you are discouraged it is a sign of pride because it shows you trust in your own powers. Never bother about people's opinions. Be obedient to Truth. For with this humble obedience, you will never be disturbed."

This is such deeply good advice for now: "Be obedient to Truth". A reminder of how fickle is the love and attention of the world and the opinion of others: One day Jesus enters Jerusalem a King! Hosanna! People throw down their clothes for him to walk on. A few days later he is judged a criminal and dies a criminal's death, mostly abandoned. In times when the world seems to be all about us, and we are getting everyone's vote, best to be focused on and obedient to something (ever) lasting, to Truth.
