[These are not just beautiful words. What does Pseudo-Macarius mean by "the soul is no longer anything but gazing"? Bernadette writes about "the contemplative gaze" - what is that? Here is a 'koan' well worth considering, if for no other reason than to come to see that you don't know what it means, and let the questioning push you.]
