Glamorized by Spirituality

Father Donald Haggerty
A chase after spirituality is not the same as a genuine search for God. The former is likely to be accompanied by imaginative skills and delusions about self, and obstruct a more sober recognition that God must be sought in what may seem the uneventful tedium of a sacrificing life.
Contemplative Provocations

["A chase after spirituality....is likely to be accompanied by imaginative skills and delusions about self...". Throw spirituality out the window and go for the deep, mysterious truth of God.
