Hindu proverb
“There isn’t a tree in the world that the wind hasn’t shaken.”
[Adversity is unavoidable. Bad times are flying in the air, like a wind that shakes the branches of a tree and tests their strength and stability. It doesn’t matter what kind of life we live, even a holy life, we will always be vulnerable to its attacks. But we need not see these experiences as a mistake or take them as ‘personal’ to us, because adversity is just part of life, part of the human condition.
Perhaps the quotes lately and again this week, are not what you are used to finding at this site. I seem to only be able share with you what comes to my mind, heart and eyes, and naturally much of it is about these times, its difficulties and its sources of hope. We find God only where we are now, in the moment – even this.]
Perfect for this time, Patricia
