Stay-at-Home Communion Service

Karen Guevara of Melbourne, Florida
When Communion Sunday came around the first time, the Chaplain announced at the beginning of the televised service that we were to gather our own bread and wine from our home, and he would bless it for our Communion meal. I found some crackers but had no juice or wine.  I did, however, have some rose wine-flavored vodka.
At the appropriate time in the service, I drank my blessed cracker, in memory of Christ's body, broken for me. Then, as directed, I drank my "fruit of the vine," in memory of Christ's blood, shed for me. And oh my, the fire of the Holy Spirit burned all the way down my throat!
