People are to march around the church to commemorate the event, Palm Sunday, when Jesus rode into Jerusalem and was greeted with applause and with palms. People thought he had come to overthrow the Romans, but ... no ... he had come to change THEM ... and that led to things turning bad. 

[Palm Sunday thoughts: A reminder of how fickle is the love and attention of the world, the opinion of others. One day Jesus enters Jerusalem a King! Hosanna! People throw down their clothes for him to walk on. A few days later he is judged a criminal and dies a criminal's death, mostly abandoned. In those time when the world seems to be all about us and we are getting everyone's vote, know that it will end. Best be depending on Something Else.]
