People have asked me if they will see their loved ones in the next life and it strikes me as terrible to say no. I could almost cry, cry because they do not realize that in the Ultimate Divine Condition, not only is nothing wanting, but it so far exceeds man's little notions that one glimpse would virtually kill them, slay them out right – it is that far beyond our wildest imagination, concepts and experiences.
In any case, we are justified in extolling the unutterable wonder of heaven and man's destiny, it is assured, it is the Truth. We could never do it justice. At the same time, we cannot perpetuate childish or false notions; doing so will not help to prepare one for Truth or for direct ascent to heaven. Christ's death was tough business, He did not hide that from us.

If organized religion had paid more attention to truth and less to making nice, the orthodox religions wouldn't be leeching membership as they have been for decades. Bernadette was all about truth. PW
