Let us acquire the habit of recalling ourselves to ourselves throughout the day, and during the course of our employments, by looking simply to God. By that means, let us calm all the commotions of the heart, as soon as we see it agitated. Let us sever ourselves from every pleasure that does not come from God. Let us suppress useless thoughts and reveries, and speak no idle words.
