One Glimpse of God

I have often said that one glimpse of God will ruin your life because now you will never be happy with how things were before you had that glimpse; from that point on, you are going in pursuit. God lets His presence, His mystery, be known and sets us in pursuit of Himself.  

The first movement of this pursuit is a turning within because the paradox is that, to go away from self, we go inward; the way out of self is through self.  After this conversion experience we are determined to go in search of our highest good, which is God, the Divine, the Absolute.  We are going to reform our lives by taking up certain practices that will allow us to spend time alone in order to contact this Divine.  We are now going to heed what Christ said, that unless you leave everything you cannot follow Me.
