Edward O’Donnell, OCD
Where do we go we feel that our resources cannot sustain us during these difficult times, when our cries to God for help seem to fall on deaf ears, and when there seems to be no one willing to help us shoulder our burdens? When prayers seem futile and unable to give us the courage to carry on, we are challenged to move to a deeper relationship with Christ, one that includes an appreciation of his own sense of abandonment at Gethsemane, the emptiness that gripped him before he died.
“Whoever perseveres to the end will be saved.
And lo, I am with you always,
until the end of the age.”
(Matthew 28:10-20)
